Age-related muscle loss, called sarcopenia, is a natural part of aging. After age 30, you begin to lose as much as 3% to 5% per decade. Most men will lose about 30% of their muscle mass during their lifetimes.
Along with muscle loss you can expect to lose some of the strength you took for guaranteed.
But just because you lose muscle mass does not mean it is gone forever. Individuals can indeed increase muscle mass lost as a consequence of aging.
WHY STRENGTH TRAINING?
Any form of strength training is better than non. Lifting weights will always result in increased muscle tone and strength, but it won't always cross over into your daily activities.
This service looks to identify key areas of your body that aren't working at their best and use specific exercises to correct and strengthen.
No matter your age our aim is to improve your quality of life by ensuring you can perform basic movements with confidence.
The program will be tailored to the individual with the goal being progression and improvement. It will focus on individual elements like specific exercises, load, repetitions, and rest periods, and will challenge you without overwhelming.
